Angel Hair, cooked up in the wok pot. Served up with cheese & bacon croutons, a spiced Feta cheese, onion chips, sardines, Parmesan, and paprika. Consumed with a mug of milk while finishing the movie Superchick (1973) - IMDb .

There was a down note. The first can of sardines I opened up opened too easily for my taste, so I immediately dropped the fish down the disposal and the can into recycling and got another one from the pantry. "But a sealed food from a major grocer, what are the chances of it being anything but perfect?".........

.................chance enough, because years ago, Mom gave me a frozen sealed eggplant TV dinner that was bad and I had food poisoning for much of that week. Once bitten, twice shy.

Wednesday: I'm making turkey pumpkin chili. In a cast iron pan, brown 2 lbs ground turkey. Once brown chop up small onion and 3 cloves garlic. Brown that and add meat in crock pot with 2-15 oz cans of white beans drained, 2 cups low sodium chicken broth, 1 can pumpkin purée, I small can of mild green chilies and chili powder to taste. Stir and cook on low 8 hours or high for 4 hours. You can top with low fat sour cream. I'm also making homemade sugar cookies per DS request.

Well that certainly sounds interesting and very different. You may want to put the recipe in the recipe section here.

Today is bridge luncheon day so I am keeping dinner small and simple. I took a container of split pea soup out of the freezer and stuck it in the fridge a day ago and have some left over ground sirloin. I am going to make mini burgers out of the beef. That will be our dinner, soup and burgers. If spoiled brat wants dessert we have brownines left for the weekend lunch we had or cookies in the cookie jar.

Had 3 leftover sausages, and two thirds of a corn on the cob. What I did was strip the corn kernels off of the cob, and then fried some sliced onions along with the kernels. Bought some hot dog rolls, and then had the sausage in the hot dog roll with the onion/corn mixture, tomato sauce, and grated cheese. Turned some bleh leftovers into a delicious meal.
