Tonight I will have a baked potato with a salad made up of spinach, celery, tomato, onions, black olives, sun dried tomatoes, chic peas and some peppers with Italian dressing.

I am making a big pot of lentil soup ( a mix of channa and urid daal) and serving onion salad and chapatis with it. To drink lassi. For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit

I use these ingredients for my red onion salad...

1 large red onion sliced thinly into rings
¼ tsp red chili powder
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp cut mint or coriander leaves
black salt to taste

Miso Braised Pork Shoulder (chunks) with carrot and onion served on noodles or rice. (Garlic, ginger, onion, wine for braising liquid)


Kimchee as the side dish and/or we need to finish up the pickled hot mustard greens).

extra thick pork chops (2 will feed all 4 of us) cooked with apples and onions
broccoli with cheese sauce
winter salad of romaine lettuce, blackberries, strawberries, ripe pear and blueberries with homemade blue cheese dressing

I just watched Jr Master Chef and the kids made Gordon Ramsey's Salmon encroute with hollandaise, so I think I'll make that. It looks pretty easy.

I bought some just wonderful sub rolls on Sunday's meal. So to use up the rolls that are left I am going to make homemade Italian subs for dinner. Hard salami, prosciutto, capicola, provolone with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and hots with oil. I feel like I am forgetting a cold cut....I'll have to ask the deli person when I get there.

Ahha! I don't have to ask its mortadella I forgot!
