While we're on the subject of pickled foods, how about pickled beets? Now I like pickled pickles, but it should be against the laws of nature to pickle any other item. Beets are very talented at being nasty and disgusting all on their own. When you combine it with that pickling idea and throw a gigantic transparent jar of them in our fridge, VOILA! we have an entire shelf with a visual DO NOT DISTURB sign on it. My gf swears she loves pickled beets. We've been together almost a year now, and that jar has not been touched even once in all that time

It has an aftertaste that I would compare to bitter melon or quinine.
I just don't understand why people buy chips, pretzels, and anything were half the bag is air. I have nothing aganist chips, pretzels, and other snacks but it seems like such a waste of money.
