Oh, yeah, I remember that description.

It's really a wonderful, evocative read, especially for foodies.
I remember I was reading that book while waiting at jury duty, and the recipes were driving me crazy. I remember bookmarking them and not feeling able to wait to leave and go get some ingredients. Even just the simplest dishes sounded mouthwatering.

Every single time I see characters eating Chinese food out of containers, it makes me ravenous. I'm always so jealous.

Sometimes it's just how someone is eating something. Even if they're just nibbling on a little something, like grapes or something. There's a scene in As Good as It Gets where Greg Kinnear's character is smacking on some bacon from his hotel room service breakfast. Omg. Kills me every time.

There is a scene in The Matrix where the betrayer character is eating rare steak and red wine. To this day, that scene pops into my head and I crave bloody steak and wine.

Those food shows (Man vs Food; Diners, Dives, & Drive-Ins) sometimes do it.

Don't read Crazy Rich Asians. I wanted to go to Singapore imm stately and have street food. Then later it was tea and scones. Basically it is an explosion of yummy sounding food in almost every chapter.

More so with books than TV or movies. Louise Penney's Armand Gamache series gets me every time with the food prepared at the Bistro. I went on a month long warm ham and Brie sandwich tangent.

I've been watching my full set of 'The Sopranos' in recent weeks. I don't "crave" Italian food often, but watching this show always makes my mouth water for the pasta I see in that show.
