probably nothing: we are having company for lunch, so that will be our big meal. No, we are not eating the company, we are having fried chicken, cold slaw and French fries. Isn't that a healthy meal, especially when the fried chicken is straight from WalMart, along with some wings and the fries are straight from the frozen package. I did make the cold slaw from scratch.
Last night I attempted tuna nigiri topped with truffle paste. Made a mess of my sushi rice, so that detracted from the overall dinner. Still, though, the other flavors were good.
Tonight, it's going to be something out of the freezer. The county is repaving the road in front of my house and I can't get out of my driveway unless it's a true emergency.
Having a BBQ with friends and family at our house (20 people). We are having hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst on the grill. Macaroni salad, Spinach dip, chips, beer soda, wine. Fruit salad, a few different desserts one of them being the friendly's wattamelon roll ( my favorite), a few other salads that both of my SIL's are bringing too.
Bought 8 atlantic sea scallops for dinner. They are big and pricey is why only 8 about 2 pounds. Going to sear them with butter S/P. I love the the taste of scallops and will not over season them.
A quick meal to cook, about 8 minutes with a side of steamed
cauliflower. Enjoy ur weekend all!
At the son and DILs tonight. They always have a bunch of Army friends over. Hamburgers and brats on the grill, broccoli and cauliflower salad, and roasted potatoes. Probably a few adult beverages will be consumed, and there will be a lot of good Army stories.
