It is only going to be in the mid 70s today so cooking will not be bad. I am doing braised pork shoulder, with vegetables and one of my favorite salads: the one made with broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and fried ramen noodles, with a sesame oil dressing. I am making enough for friends who have been out of town for a couple of weeks, so when they get home tomorrow dinner will be waiting for them.

Sounds great....I think I'm jealous.

Honestly, my dinner today will be left over's of yesterday's lasagna, and a fresh kale salad.
Having cooked meals like you are having for about 40 years, I now only cook like that if we are having a house full, and I purposely cook a large meal on Saturday, so that I can take a leisurely Sunday

Enjoy your Sunday!

It's 66 here right now and no humidity! Won't last long, but hey, it feels great. I'm making Italian sloppy joes in the crock pot. I use Italian turkey sausage (turkey bratwurst if sausage not available) I brown that crumbled up with garlic. In the crockpot I cut up one green and one red pepper, add two cans 24 oz of organic crushed tomatoes with basil and then add the browned meat. Cook on high for 4 hours. Serve on WW rolls with baby spinach and low fat mozzarella. Served with salad. Dessert is low fat peanut butter pie. Recipe available if you want. Have a great Sunday all!

Happy Sunday, everybody.

Tonight is meatballs smothered in bown onion gravy, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob (my store has REALLY really good COTC right now - better than I've gotten in a grocery store in a long time), and I'm thinking I'll make some drop biscuits to go with. I think garlic bread wouldn't work with this.

Of course Chester will get some meatballs and potatoes but no gravy - he loves Sunday dinners.

Dessert will be ice cream - he bought a new flavor yesterday so he's chomping at the bit for that.

Still feels like 110 degrees here! I am grilling later, a sweet Italian sausage ring, a couple of hamburgers. I am grilling some zucchini and onions.
