We have a big BBQ at someone's home and I do know meat, poultry and fish plus vegetable will be barbequed.Well I am not familiar with it so I assume.I am such a newbie in this area but I am so excited. All I have to bring is apple pie and coffee cake.
I'm using the leftover pork loin to make chili. I'd rather have a fattier cut of meat for chili but that's what was in the fridge that needed to be used up, so there ya go.
Dinner is at my SIL and BIL house. She's actually making tongue! One of my DH's and her DH's favorite. I won't eat it. She is making chicken cutlets too. I did not ask her to make me something else, she just knew I wouldn't eat it. I have been trying new foods but this is one I am not willing to try. I made it once for my husband and I just swore it off after that.
I am in love with a frozen product called DEVOUR. Around here, several stores have been selling their foods as introductory prices. I have tried their Mac and cheese with bacon, and chicken enchiladas, and they are really good.
Tonight, we're having the Spicy Italian sausage ravioli, and some sautéed spinach with a bit of cream and Parmesan.
If your market has Devour on sale for $2 or so @, they are well worth a try.

I've seen the ads for these. Are they at all healthy, or lots of fat and carbs?
