Like Almrausch, and others we could last for quite awhile. Actually in the fridge, not all that much and no meat except for a few left over ribs from Sunday, but the pantry and freezer are well stocked, from bean, pasta and canned goods to jams, home canned items, lots of soups, casseroles where I froze the extra, meats, and so on. We would run out of dairy products and bread, but the rest, we would be fine for probably a month. There is a reason for keeping a few canned and frozen veggies, emergency use is one.
I have probably 5 weeks of food for good regular meals in the freezer and pantry, for two adults and two kids. If we had a crisis, I could stretch it further pretty easily.
I have no idea and I've never even thought about it. But i can assure you that if I looked in the freezer and pasta shelf, it's months. And it's all been bought on sale or Costco.
I've always wondered about the mindset of people who buy thousands of dollars of MRE's to stash for when armegeddon arrives. (Excluding the Mormons. I lived in Phoenix for 25+ years where there is a big Mormon population. They explained it to me.)
We're screwed. There's only one meal left in the fridge and nothing in the freezer but some tomatoes from last years garden and some Italian ice.
We don't eat from cans or boxes except for some brown rice and an occasional can of beans. John likes his cereal but I rarely touch it.
