List your favorites but also add descriptions of WHY you love what you drink!!

Ones I love:

Gulden Draak: very rich, flavorful, just amazing but EXPENSIVE!!!
Paulaner Hefeweizen: Probably the best bottled Hefeweizen I have tasted, rich and delightful
Sam Adams Octoberfest: A great domestic with good flavor
MGD: Good neutral and soothing taste

Ones I dislike:
Miller Lite: eww, tastes like water
Budweizer (US): Not only is it a copy and slanders the name of the Czech original but it tastes like water and also makes me sick! Besides it's made from rice to save money which some beer purists would consider sacrilege! Worst beer ever!

I don't drink anymore, but when I did. I drank Coors Light. Because it was real watery and easy to drink. lol.
Corona wasn't too bad either.
I mainly stayed away from the darker beers, too strong of a taste.

Not much of a beer drinker anymore, but my favorite is Sam Adams Boston Lager, without a doubt. I cut my drinking teeth on Guinness, but I find it a little too bitter and strong for my tastes these days. I don't mind a Corona once in a while, when I'm looking for something milder.

Least favorites ... those watery, flavorless mainstream American beers like Bud and Miller.

I'm a major hop head so most of my favorites reflect that:

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Diamond Bear Presidential IPA
Sam Adams Black Lager
Boulevard Bully Porter (not as good as it was 7 or 8 years ago)
Fat Tire 2° Below Seasonal

In the mid range:
Yuengling
Killians (even though it did take a nose dive when coors bought it)

I will on occassion drink Bud even though as k374 points use of large amounts of adjunct rice is sacrilege. I'm a former home brewer too and I would NEVER use it even for an pilsner if I was so inclined to brew one.

I'm a beer snob, and husband is a home brewer. I like the ales, lagers, pilsners and hefe's from almost any microbrewery. It's embarrasing how many we've been to!

I'll drink anything if it's free. Unless the only beer offered is a Miller product. Yuck. Or Genessee Cream Ale. I can't believe I used to drink that stuff by the gallon in college. *urp*

Favorites are: Warsteiner Dunkel and Oktoberfest (although if someone wants to give me a Verum, I won't argue), Young's Double Chocolate Stout (a meal in itself), Killian's, Labatt's Blue, Molson Export, Saranac Black Forest and pale ales, Sea Dog blueberry wheat, Christian Moerlein.

Forgot one: Great Lakes Brewing Co.'s Edmund Fitzgerald Porter.

I don't drink much, but prefer dark beer and often can't get it on a menu, or at a bar. Here's a link I found when I thought about some of the brands I like:

Leap Into The Dark (http://www.allaboutbeer.com/features/225darkbeer.html - broken link)

For some reason I see, even on the internet, dark beers are not favoured. I generally have to re-think when the wait person says, "nope, no dark" and often just give up and say in return "just water please"
