make Baklava, use it for when you have a sore throat, you can make Strouffel ( those Italian honey balls with sprinkles on top) honey cake, or make a honey. lemon and garlic marinade for chicken.
If you have any allergies, take a spoonful of that honey everyday and your problem is gone ! I tried several medicines and found that the local honey works better than any of them.
This actually works! We were told this when we moved here, so I go down the road to the stand & buy some (and it's cheap, compared to honey in stores, tastes better, too).
Also, I like to use it in my banana bread recipe & any other application that requires a sweetener.
I didn't see anyone mention this yet.. but don't store the honey in a metal container (it reacts with the slight acidity of honey). Many people say to not even use a metal spoon to scoop it out, but I'm not too sure about that one. Also, high heat will destroy many of the wonderful enzymes in the honey, so try not to heat it too hot.
I have a spoonful of honey whenever I am craving sweets. There's only about 20 calories in a small spoonful and it will get me over the overpowering urge to eat that candy bar that's just sitting there calling my name.
