I don't mean the preparation part but the taste part. Every 3 or 4 days I feel a need for someone else's cooking so I eat out somewhere. I read once that it is normal for a person to need someone else's cooking occasionaly.

Most times that I cook a complicated or time-consuming dish -- no matter how much I know that I love what I'm making -- by the time I'm finished making it, I have zero interest in eating it. The next day? Absolutely! But the day that I've done the work making it? Nope.

Aren't you the guy who's always asking what to add to your bland cooking?

I get takeout a couple of times a week. But I have a temperament that is never bored.

As long as SO does not get tired of my cooking Maybe you should get a bit adventurous and try out new things.

I eat hospital cafeteria food every day - its free and it's pretty good. But I can't wait to cook on the weekends. I love to eat my own food, and often take it to work, because I get sick of food cooked by others

No. I cook a great variety of foods from many different cuisines. I'm a decent cook and my food tastes good. I strive to have at least 90% of whatever goes into my mouth be made by my own hands.

Cooking? What's that?

Plenty of great options at company cafeteria, supplemented by Chipotle, Taco Bell, and Subway.

I'll only 'cook' on weekends since I'm too lazy to go out to get food.

I do like to go out and try different things that require cooking equipment that I don't have at home (there is an amazing fried fish place that uses gluten free batter which extra light and crispy, and wild caught local fish, or the Korean place b/c it has that high temp grill and special sauces)...

but I also like my own cooking too- as it annoys me when the food I get out - I do better at home-
like a good prime steak, seared each side, rare in the middle in my own garlic olive oil or a "gourmet" burger that I do really nicely stuffed with cheese and spiced to my own taste...with chopped onion in the patty...

so I guess I am saying do I get "tired" of my own cooking?
Not really
but I sure do like to eat! LOL
