That makes sense...the heat thing. You should make big batches in the crockpot and freeze the extra. My idea of heaven is a yummy dinner that just needs a bit of microwaving.
That's smart, GA. Depends on what you'd normally eat, I suppose. I don't care for most things frozen... the texture & flavors of foods changes, especially chicken & veggies. Chicken broth or spaghetti sauce are the exceptions for me, but I am a very picky eater, anyway.
If I make a large pot of something, I eat it 3 meals/day 'til it's gone. Luckily, I don't get bored with that method.
took some frozen ribs out for tonight. They were the ones that didn't get quite smoked enough the other day, so I will just finish them off in the overused toaster oven. I will add some sauce. Also our usual green salad and I think I will make some mac and cheese. Spoiled brat loves it and I only make it once in awhile. We will most likely eat in front of the TV while watching the college world series if it starts at 6pm like it was supposed to last night before it was rained out.
Very late b'kfast-lunch again, so nothing. If I'm hungry later, I'll have the bit of rice-lentil-beef stew leftovers from lunch. The thunder keeps waking me, otherwise I'd be sleeping for dinner, because I'm just plain wild like that... fun, fun, fun.
And a salad with spinach, strawberries, red onion and Bulgarian feta. I sent the husband out for French feta before we left on vacation. He came back with Bulgarian instead. I think I am in love!
