Jimmy Johns >>>>> Jersey Mike's. Mike's is good. JJ's is great.
Quiznos used to be great, then they went downhill. Do they even exist anymore? I haven't seen a Quiznos in forever.
When your business model as a FRANCHISOR is to screw the FRANCHISEE, don't expect the franchised restaurants to stay open for long.
I have fifteen years of experience in the restaurant/foodservice industry and 25 years as a CPA. A friend asked my advise about purchasing a Quizno's franchise in Chicagoland. I asked him to bring all of the franchise information as well as any other research he had done. The contract was one of the worst ones that i have seen. The deal was fantastic for Quiznos Corporate. When i told him how many sandwiches that he would need to sell each week just to break even, he let me know that my numbers were 50% higher than what the franchise was currently doing. He walked away from the deal.

Personally, my answer is "neither." I can make a superior sandwich at home at less than half the price and I can customize it the way that I like it with my favorite beer mustard or my homemade chipotle ranch sauce.
I will say that every once in a while, I will stop by a Jimmy John's. However, I find them to be grossly overpriced for what you get. I will not touch a Subway sandwich since the CBC's expose that showed that their chicken, well wasn't.
Never had either of them although there is a Jersey mikes down the road from my job. I worked in a subway for 4 years and the food was ok but I vowed never to eat from there again after I left and I haven't. I ate their sandwiches 5 days a week. Does jersey mike's use premium cold cuts and are they sliced to order?
Another vote for Jersey Mike's over Jimmy John's. Tried JJ's once and that was enough for me. It was a very bad sandwich. But I would take my local Italian deli sandwich over both any day.
I don't get the love for Jersey Mike's if talking a traditional cold Italian Sub. Those meats they use are so Americanized and bland with some odd names like Prosciuttini which is supposed to be like real Prosciutto I guess but minus the flavor/richness. At the very least Jimmy Johns uses better quality meats that are indentifable by name and have better flavor. Publix supermarkets make great subs with freshly baked rolls and the option of any of their Boar's Head meats or cheeses. That folks is a quality sub! https://www.publix.com/shop-online/i...oar%27s%20Head
As for supermarket subs, it depends on your approach.
If you want cheap, Winco Foods always has premade subs at great prices from $1.99-2.99 that are well worth the money. They are not real fancy but they do fill you up. Abd their cobb salad for $3.49 is a great bargain and very similar to salads you would pay $10 for in a restaurant.
If you want the best quality sub in a supermarket, it is hard to beat Wegman's in the Northeast.
I don’t like a lot of bread, and J.J. buns are nice and light.
I just had a tuna sub at Firehouse, and it was very good.
