Got back from the Black Hills last night with a lot of King's Cornish pasties in tow. They're really well made with a decent crust.

Tonight we had sauerkraut and sausage ones. Not sure how authentic that filling is but these were good and peppery with just the right balance of tart and rich.

Locally grown watermelon for dessert. There will be a considerable amount of that going on for a while now. . .

It's a head-to-head matchup of taco dinners from the current favorite and newcomer taqueria that gets good reviews. Winner winner taco dinner!

We went with Asian flavors last night. Pork sliders and cold noodle salad. The salad will keep me busy for breakfast and/or lunch for a few days. It was nice and spicy! medtran made the slider buns which were great!

Today is spoiled brats day to pick dinner as long as he cleans up the kitchen: he has chosen meat loaf, boiled potatoes and broccoli/cauliflower grilled or roasted in the air fryer. Meat loaf is one of he few things I use the over for anymore. I might try it in the insta pot.

Buddah bowl redux, because it was so popular and we probably won't have all the ingredients again.

Smoked shredded pork shoulder over millet. Tossed with Carolina Vinegar BBQ sauce and cilantro pesto (no cheese) for the sauce. Pickled onions, cukes and pepperoncini, fresh spinach and sweet potato. Edit: and green papaya salad tossed in.
