Milk chocolate with hazelnuts.

Lindt truffles.

Ferrero Rocher.

Chocolate covered nuts.

Liquor filled chocolates.

Gummi bears, gummi fruit, gummi anything.

I only buy the above very infrequently cause I don't have the self discipline to keep from pigging out.

Fresh cherries, I can't stop eating them when they are in season.

Fresh-baked bread with unsalted kerrygold butter.

Guacamole.

Gouda cheese.

I'll eat too many choc covered nuts if in the house. Or, Famous Amos's choc. chip cookies. Those little cookies should come w/ a warning.

Cake. Must have a not-too-sweet frosting and be topped by a not-too-sweet vanilla ice cream. No hiding place is safe. Doesn't matter if it's in the freezer. I'll find it.

Mad bingeing during the early days of the pandemic means I am now on a diet and running program to lose recently gained weight and a couple decades of excess. 20 pounds down and another 40 to go.

Stuff I CAN'T stop eating? Well, lately it's been Chik Fil A sandwiches. I prefer Popeye's, but those are twice the calories. I boycotted CFA for years, but they improved their policies and they treat their employees well. Plus, my roommate is gay and he LOVES their food. So we go together half the time. I can work their sandwich into my calorie allotment fairly easily.

I'm supposed to hit my goal in October/November, and then? Well, then I'm going to slowly add more decadent stuff into my diet in a manageable way. Good cheeses, baguettes, deli sandwiches, cream and butter. My favorite food in the world is pizza, so I really miss that. I have been staying away from it because I tend to binge on it.

But I recently ordered Indian takeout for my birthday dinner and it seems the mindful eating statutes of my Noom diet have really sunk in. I ate a small serving of paneer masala, a naan and a 1 cup serving of rice and called it good. I'd even lost more weight the next day. A lot of what I needed to learn is when I am at "enough" rather than just full.

I've cut white bread MOSTLY out of my diet, along with traditional french fries, pizza, pasta and most added sugar. I eat a lot of grilled/roasted meat and veggies. It's fine. But I dream of things like ham and brie on a baguette.

Potato chips. Can't keep them in the house.
Cashews. At least they're healthy.

For me it's pizza. I can down a large pizza by myself and don't feel full until later, LOL.
