Tonight we are having crab cakes with a remoulade sauce; lobster mac & cheese, pineapple coleslaw and the remainder of the pumpkin cheesecake tarts for dessert. I think I will break open a bottle of Veuve as well.
It got chilly tonight and we are eating up the leftovers from my broken freezer -- we are having homemade beef stew and some frozen green beans, the last of the cornbread and opening a bottle of pinot noir. For dessert I have some defrosted burnt almond torte cake.
I had made a large pot of red pasta sauce the other night. I froze most of it, gave some to the neighbor's, and set aside one container in the fridge for another meal. That night we had spaghetti with it, tonight we'll have gnocchi. I'll serve it with a side of broccoli, plus a small mixed salad. And of course, a glass or two of a nice red wine.
Tonight we are making cupcake chicken inspired by a Cooks Country TV episode on the Americas Test Kitchen channel on Roku that I watched this week. We’ll have limas, corn bread and an avocado tomato salad.
