And because I am married, I will take out a tomahawk steak to be grilled tomorrow, and do a side salad with veggies.
Report on hearts of palm rice. It turned out so much better than I thought, BUT, I had to make it unhealthy in different ways to make it good. I added fried lardons of spicy spam, I added quite a bit of scallion oil, then sesame oil, then black sesame oil... along with all the veggies and eggs, and shoyu. I should have added garlic and ginger to help round up the flavor. I drained it super well through a sieve, but it was too wet to ever get a "fry" on it. But I woofed that down.
Edit: no sweet potato noodles, so I switched to chicken stir fry, and THEN switched to slow cooked zukes, some sort of sour cream sauce over whole wheat pasta, fresh basil and lemon zest

Tonight at the Case abode: Just a bit of breakfast with H-E-B's maple-flavored sausage patties and two Eggland's Best three-cheese omelettes. And there's a way not to fix those omelettes in the microwave.
Out for a show for our anniversary, and then late night for medium rare steak frites at a French bistro. Hangar steak is my favorite for steak frites but we’re in NYC and everyone uses NY strip. Still, I’ve been there before and it’s succulent.
