I pour Coca-Cola into the pan underneath the rack my baby back ribs are on when I cook them in the oven, but not ON them directly, so I'm curious.

Yes, Coke tenderizes meat and gives it a very slight sweet taste. For savory or salty, I tenderize with the leftover juice from pickle or olive jars.

DH and I stopped at BJs Brewhouse. He had sliders. I opted for the grilled mahi mahi and shrimp tacos. So good. I have mostly the shrimp taco to finish another day.

Broiled T-bone steaks with salad. Cabernet Sauvignon to drink and tiramisu for dessert.

We celebrated a special milestone tonight and enjoyed Käsespätzle/ cheesy spaetzle with caramelized onions,a mixed garden salad and a glass of red wine from the Pelee Islands. For dessert meringue hearts with strawberry compote.
