Escargot, if done right, are really delicious. Remind me of oysters. I like frogs' legs, too -- grew up in the bayou, and they are fairly common fare. But I do feel sorry for all those poor frogs, with no legs.

I catch my own frogs with spear at night time
I use the legs, the arms, the back
when I was a kid I use to use the leftover frogskin and make a drum! I streched it over an old coffee can and let it dry.
I have never had snails but my Grandmother used to own a restaurant and served frog's legs all the time. Loved them as a child. Haven't ate them since I was little though. Funny my husband and I were just talking about this the other night. He doesn't eat red meat or pork and I asked him if he would eat frog legs and he said yes. (Apparantly since they "taste like chicken" he will consider eating them LOL) I will have to look for restaurant around here that serves them.
I LOVE eating escargot....and I second the notion of the pp stating, if they are prepared right, they are delicious!
With drawn garlic butter, and fresh baked, crispy french bread.....huh....yummmmmmmyyy!
The only bad thing...not much to them, but somewhat pricey.
Oh, well.....it's all about having a good dinner, and consider myself lucky, if I DO find them on the menu at all.
Frog legs...never had them....yet.
Taste like chicken???
Garlic and butter together is a magical thing. Together they can make just about anything edible.
