There used to be a cooking show years ago - they showed the food being cooked but it was narrated by a woman with a beautifully cultured southern voice. I cannot remember the name of the show. This was years ago before there were so many cooking shows. Any one know?
I just looked at an episode. I am not sure if this is the one I am thinking of, but it has been a while......the one I remember the lady had more of a 'South Carolina cultured drawl" type voice? Of course, it's been a while for my poor brain/memory! Now I want to watch these though! Thank you for looking. Really similar in many ways.

Well the woman who narrated great chefs of the west has a southern accent. I don't know of anyone else and it's been years since I saw this show too.
Was it on PBS? I remember a PBS cooking show with a middle aged white woman who had a light southern accent. She had big fluffy white/ pale blonde hair.

yes that is her! I love that show as a teenager. Her voice was calming and soothing and she made the food look and taste good LOL.
