BTW, It's surprising how many people are still under the impression that lobster do not feel pain due to their type of nervous system. This is old information, and I assume that people are spreading it because they still believe, in good faith, that it is true.

As I said before, you can't avoid hurting an animal if you want to eat it, so just try to do it without any unnecessary suffering.

Local Japanese restaurant has a dish where they sever the lobsters head, scoop out the tail meat, quick cook it with spices and sauce then put the concoction back in the upside down shell put the head back on et voila a live lobster head with a cooked body

Kinda like this = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0q3uW...eature=related

My suggestion dont eat animals if you have a problem killing them..

Lobsters comprise a family (Nephropidae, sometimes also Homaridae) of large marine crustaceans, according to Wikipedia.

As for killing humanely, I personally go for not killing them at all, but this is the prescribed method from a lobster chef:

I used to cut their heads off. I changed to electrocution and then gassing. Now I apply a three drug cocktail.
