Cyn......you go ahead and do your thing and don't let anyone else write the script to your life.....Happy Mother's Day!.....you birth em....and love em and raise em and then turn them loose....after that its anyones bet. So you keep busy and walk tall and proud.

I can tell you one thing for certain......year by year.....I have come to realize that the most complete and unselfish love I ever knew came from my mother, and I miss her more each year.....but she brings me smiles when I least expect it...because she has never left me. (and as I have shared with you in the past.....our relationship was not without its difficult times.)

Morning all and Happy Mother's day to all the Mom's, grands, aunties and all who've shaped the life of a child.

Cyn-just do your thing and hopefully today will be positive.

Making some chicken salad for lunch-yum.

I have pondered supper her long enouth that a more solid plan is taking shape. I'll do some leg quarters (our prefered cut) and use Sweet Baby Rays on the wifes and some really hot and spicy wing sauce on mine. It's a win win for both of us. Coleslaw and carrot salad for heat beater sides. If available a store bought key lime pie to cool things off more. These mid 90's are not conducive to wanting to heat up the house cooking....Maybe if I plan on grilling everyday it will start to rain.....

I am not at all sure what we will have for our "last supper" here before leaving tomorrow for the trip.....I want something that doesnt make any garbage or smelly trash....(I am taking a trash bag over to my sons house this morning to ask him to put it out with his and that needs to be the end of it) it is also a requiremnt that supper doesnt require cleaning up.....that could mean ..... going out for supper! Ah thats it! Perfect!

Yes elston, I agree! Going out would be the best idea--I am sure you will be busy getting those last minute details done for this huge trip so make it one less thing to do. You and your DP have a wonderful time and we will be looking forward to hearing all the details when you get home!! I am getting so excited for you!

Happy Mother's Day to all.

Cyn- You can be my mother for the day although I think you are too young. But since I don't have a mother, I can be your local kid, lol. Don't worry about the day. Make it a good one for yourself because you deserve it.

elston- I think reservations sound perfect for your last dinner here. Have a wonderful trip.

Nomad- Yum ribs. What time is dinner?

Yeah. I finally see some sun. We have to run to town for a grinder and I am going to look at the prices for canners. Jaxson, Kats and Nomad got me all excited about canning but I will leave the expensive ones to them.

Dinner tonight for DH is steak on the grill and of course his shoepeg corn. I need a light meal because I think I ate a little too much this week.

Have a great day everyone.

Just popped in to wish all moms a happy day.

DH and I will be home alone today with stuff to do. Will probably get phone calls. My one daughter took me out on Friday. It is hard with living in another state.
Today I will cook a turkey breast and my mouth is salivating thinking about it.
Just going to be a nice day to hang around puttering and playing on the puter a bit.
