As most or you know by now, I'm not a food extremist, but artificial sweeteners are the only thing I will not touch. If it's sweet and contains no sugar, I can just pass on it and live without it---I don't need sweets that badly.

To me it all tastes funny anyway and I am not keen on the artificial side of it either. To be honest I hardly add sugar to anything ( the very occasional cup of tea or coffee on the coldest of days) anyway so I will use the real thing when I do . Nothing is bad in moderation unless you are actually physically allergic to it.

None of us should be harmed by real sugar if we only had it in reasonable amounts . Same with butter . To me butter will always be a much superior product to margarine ( which I would never touch with a bargepole) and is not a problem if you don't eat gallons of the stuff.

I only buy fair trade and unbleached sugar anyway. And mine seems to last a long, long time. I prefer Honey as a substitute .

If they are not good for health… is there any commercially available natural sugar free substitute that is in market? If so, could you suggest one that can be used as a natural sugar substitute in the beverage?

Thanks!
stevia is pretty good. and you can even grow it yourself very easily.
