You listed a recipe somewhere for stuffed grape leaves BUT you did it in a casserole instead? Could you please do that again as I forgot to copy and paste.
I rememberbeing very young (The Boones Farm Apple wine days and Ripple) and we also had Sangria. I don't remember it tasting this good.
OMG does this take me back! When we were in like 5th grade, my best friend and I had a chugging contest to see who could finish a bottle of Boones Farm Apple wine fastest. I think it was her brother's idea so he could have the rest of the night with his gf (teenagers). No idea who won but to this day I can not chug anything. We were both so sick - I have a vague memory of singing along to Gordon Lightfoot (Sundown) and Cher (Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves) while her brother and his gf dropped us both into the bathtub EARLY the next morning to try and sober us up.
Crazy I just googled grape leaves and they are time consuming and what I found was for 75-250 of them.
I did a stuufed cabbage casserole-lazy way instead of stuffing leaves.
Casserole
Layver of cabbage
Layer of lean raw ground beef
salt/pepper
Cabbage
Layer chopped onions,
Layer of raw rice
Layer raw ground beef
Cabbage again
Mix lg can tomato sauce with 2 T brown sugar, dash worstershire and lemon juice.
Pour over
Cover and bake 350 for an hour.
