Lets say youre eating a meal, do you eat and take slurps of your drink? or do you wait until youre entirely finished with your meal and then drink?

I drink throughout the meal but I've known people who waited - always thought that was a little odd.

It helps digest the food better if you drink along the way.

I generally don't drink and eat at the same time.

I do often have a cup of tea after the meal though, so I guess that is "after".

During for sure....I can't imagine eating without having a glass of water too....and when dining out I really do like it when the servers are great about keeping an eye on my water and keeping it filled....

But I like to eat so much. I woudn't want to be filled up beforehand.

Reminds me of that advice to not go to the grocery store when you're hungry. I have far more trouble with my shopping if I go when I'm full. Nothing looks good so I don't buy enough and have to go back later in the week.

You're leaving out an important part - having a grocery list with you so that you get what you need and don't have to go back, eating beforehand so you don't do "impulse buys". The two go hand in hand.

I drink with my meal, my husband tends to drink after, if at all.

I do often bring a list, but start chopping things off when I don't have an appetite for it!
