I drink a new energy drink called Crave. It only has 1 gm of sugar, so you don't crash or get a headache. Also, it comes in portable stick packs. That way you don't have to carry a can around that gets warm. Just mix with water or any other drink. Tastes Great!

I don't drink any of that junk. Caffeine is horrible for you as it is, but the amount contained in these energy drinks is just ridiculous. Theres a new movement of these things and they're popping up all over the place. I don't mind so much if adults drink it but I hate the fact that kids are now 'into' it for the "cool" factor of course-- meanwhile, its harmful to their health.

Since I don't drink alcohol beverages anymore, I do have (rarely) a Red Bull when I go out. But most of the time just a regular club soda or Sierra Mist. I'm not much on energy drinks, but on a rare occasion I'll have a Red Bull.

I vote for water too. Staying hydrated with good clean water makes a big difference.

Can anyone who has experience with Red Bull please tell me another energy drink that tastes just like it or VERY similiar? I have tried 180 in the orange can and was completely turned off by the awful orange after taste. I also tried Full Throttle, black can, this morning and it offers the same crappy taste, too much orange or citrus...whichever, I can't stand the taste and am earnestly looking for something cheaper than Red Bull with the same level of "kick" ingredients.

Please respond as soon as possible. Wife will be out shopping in another county tonight after working in the area (it offers a "little" cheaper Red Bull, but not enough to get my wife off my tail about the cost of my energy drink- and no I'm not replacing it with vitamins and water for those who don't believe in energy drinks, but thanks anyway) and if I can't find a cheaper subsitute I need to have her go ahead and p/u the Bull. If I can find a subsitute, my night might be better when she gets home.

Also, please try to make sure its sold in Florida. If you need to see a chart to help you with the ingredients, I'm including one I found online. List of energy drinks - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thank you so much for your help.

Why don't you just ask her to pick up a variety? One can of each thing that is less expensive and see what you like?
Rip It has been on sale near me for $1 a can (16oz.) I like it better than Red Bull but I can't give you a flavor comparison of the two. I also prefer Monster or Rock Star all sugar free.

Purchasing one of each available would be a great idea, if I didn't have access to all the great folks on this site willing to share their knowledge and experiences. Thank you so much for your post.

If I can't get a suitable answer to my inquiry, then I may result to your recommendation, but it would be a terrific waste of money to purchase one of each and just take sips to see if I liked them. To me, much more expensive than just buying the traditional case of Red Bull at Sam's Club, because there would be NO waste with the Bull and I HAVE TO pour out the "too citrus" ones, because I can't get them down at any price. I think the waste is more expensive than the Bull, just my opinion on my wallet.

But again, thanks so much for the suggestion and I will keep it in mind as a last resort.

Crazy as it may sound, I've never had any "energy" drink other than plain ole H2O. Even my coffee & tea are decaf. I did have a doctor tell me once to drink gatorade to help re-hydrate from the flu. Does that count?

I heard apples are a natural energy booster. Is that true?
