I prefer a big honkin' slice of cold pepperoni pizza.

I do have an advantage over most people......I live on a small acreage and have chickens, geese, turkeys, dogs, sheep, hogs, goats, and cows. Our butcher comes to our place and processes the animals. My problem is getting the dogs to leave the free range eggs alone.........

I think the choice of a traditional breakfast is not so terrible when you consider the HFCS and other chemicals poured into most commercial breakfast cereals these days. They are a long way from Mr. Kellogg's original healthy grains.
You are absolutely right

I still do whole milk or cream, but I get it from a dairy that sells raw milk.

The question was "is it a good breakfast," not "is it a healthy breakfast," so I answered yes. It sounds good to me.

My old business partner, who's about 90 now, had a pancake with an egg on top of it every morning, day in, day out, year in, year out. The first time I heard that, I thought it kinda strange, but I tried it and like it fine too. But it's not my favorite breakfast -- too healthy to be my favorite.

Incidentally, that business partner has never been an ounce overweight. I'd say he's 5'10" and has never been over 150 pounds soaking wet. And that wasn't inherited; both of his parents were pretty heavy.

And eggs and pancakes are both low in fat unless fried in a bunch of grease or doctored up with a bunch of butter. Bacon is a different story, but a slice or two every now and then isn't likely to kill you.

I think it's overkill. The occasional pancake breakfast is okay, or the occasional eggs and bacon breakfast, but both together? I can't even imagine having enough room for all of it. And the idea of having something sweet with eggs doesn't sit well with me, either. The only time I'd serve all of it together would be for a brunch, or some kind of special occasion.

I answered no, because I'm not a lover of those particular foods. I'm not a bacon fan (prefer sausage) and I can do without pancakes and eggs. I would eat it if I were in someones home and it was served, but I would ever make it myself or order it out. I just prefer other foods!

Buckwheat pancakes, okay, but the rest of it? No thanks, I'd rather have grape nuts and skim milk. What the heck IS sugar-free syrup? Plastic? And turkey bacon? Heresy.

Yeah, I like a simple breakfast. One of the items, OK. Maybe two for indulgence, but all three? Naw. Just personally, I'd feel like it's taxing my body too early to make it try and digest all those foods first thing in the morning. A toasted croissant, tea (I've given up coffee) and juice for me. Usually no meat until at least past 10:30 or 11AM.

While it's a good special treat breakfast, it's not a good regular breakfast.
