Let's make that olive oil. My local Walmart is on and off on carrying them. It's the same with amazon although they do have them now for about a dollar per can more than Walmart. I stock up when I see them.

I refrigerate mine and eat them on hot buttered toast. The temperature difference adds to the taste experience. They're good on both toast and plain bread (I prefer toast) with egg salad. If you fancy egg salad plus other stuff on toast fix some of egg salad with sardines and others with egg salad and bacon.

A ham and cheese sandwich with a layer of sardines is a trencherman's delight. Don't forget to use lots of butter.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with just gobbling down a can for breakfast. They're even good for you.

For those with New Year's resolutions, you've done enough for this year. It's time to enjoy yourself again.

I like the King Oscar sardines but only in tomato sauce. I haven't been able to find those for awhile.

Interesting fact about sardines, an excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids, and zinc. Important for eye health...

Has anyone had Goya brand sardines in tomato sauce?
The general store here has a big oval 15 ounce can of them for $2.99.
I'll probably buy one, I just don't want to open the can and find they have the heads still on or something yuckky about them.

^I love the Goya brand sardines in tomato sauce. You won't find any heads nor anything yucky about them.

I personally enjoy putting the sardines on a bed of white rice, sometimes I also like adding corn or avocado.

I recommend you trying them!

Oh boy! Thanks very much for the answer, Hesky!
They're way bigger than the sardines that come in the small cans, right?
LOL....I'll definitely buy them! I used to not like to have to eat sardines with any backbone in them but now I'm used to it and don't mind so much. Time for me to learn to eat what I'm assuming will be even larger sections of the backbones.....
......
