We moved here (to Coral Springs) back in October. We thought we were getting a nice place in the Visconti condos on Riverside and Atlantic. Yuck!! Most of the "condos" are section 8 havens. Check and make sure. We moved out 4 months into the lease because 40% was section 8. Disgusting. We found a home in a wonderful subdivision by Coral Ridge and Riverside. It is by Tamarac near Tephford Park and it is quiet, beautiful and safe for a family. Please be careful and make sure you could get out of your lease (just in case).

My middle son plays baseball as well (not like my oldest) and played hockey for 5 years. I think his school is Sawgrass middle. My yongest has not found an interest yet and his school is the only one we did not visit.

Do you have any info about anything you want to share? We are your basic middle class family. Nothing fancy and dont care about keeping up with the Jones's.

I am looking for gainful employment. I have a degree in business and a minor in health science. I have owned my own cleaning business and will be giving that up for my husbands job. I just dont even know where to begin.

Coral springs is a great place for families. I have several friends who live there with kids and they love it. There are lots of moms group there, I would look into joining one to meet other families.

YOu can start your own cleaning bussiness there. I have a friend who cleans people's houses in Lighthouse point. She says there is always people over there wanting that service. I would look into it once you get settled. Driving to MIami everyday is going to be a hike but you picked the right area. Enjoy the Sunshine!

I know this thread is a little dated but I'm relocating to Coral Springs this Summer and we want to rent a home (3 bedrooms) for a while before purchasing. When you left Visconti did you rent your new home or did you buy? Looking for good areas/complexes to rent from. Thank you.

We rent with an option to buy. There is NO way I would buy anything being a newbie. If you have the opportunity to come down before you move, I highly recommend it. We didn't have that option. The sub division that we live in is called Glen Walk. It is perfect for us. It's not so uppity like Parkland (we would NOT fit....we're working class stiffs lol) and it's not trash. We can go outside at night and walk around and not be scared. Last night we got to see an amazing fireworks show from our front yard. It was across the water. The neighbors are very nice too. My son is always ouside playing and I don't worry. Good luck and if you need any other info, I'd be happy to try and help.
