Could also be a a case here where the burglar was a rookie, and not a pro. That's the scary part - all these new people in the business due to the economy aren't using proper robbery etiquette! :O

Give it a few more months in this economy and the fact that ICE is starting more deportations of illegal immigrants, which Weston is full of. Things are going to get ugly, very ugly, even behind the gated Stepford Wives Weston communities.

It's not exactly common to find a professional burglar. Most burglars ARE rookies because they end up getting caught before they can improve their finesse. I could definitely see a wave of late 80s style burglaries/home invasions happening again however, where it just becomes so common the police can't even keep up. As I said earlier it's already happening in some other larger Southern cities.

Yes for once you are right, there are quite a few illegal immigrants from Venezuela all over the city. Not your "typical" illegal immigrants, mostly wealthy Venezuelan political refugees who feel that they are above the law but nobody complains because they don't live 20 to a house. Probably second to Chula Vista/Broadview Park area in amount of illegal immigrants really but just a different kind.

This is an older area of Weston ( Country Isles ) ... not gated and very close to I-75 for a quick getaway back down to Miramar or Hialeah !!!

This is actually a lovely area , but they have had property crimes in the past .... I love Weston but our BSO units down here are useless ... it is typically muscle bound white cops stopping and flirting with hot Latin babes in SUV's down here or they take three hour lunches at the local restaurants and the nap in their squad cars ... easiest job in the world being a Weston BSO officer .... LOL !!!

Bonaventure , especially has many illegals in the many apartments and many of these are domestic workers and gardeners that work for wealthy white americans and wealthy hispanics in Weston ... I am all for legal immigration .... illegals though send them all back !!!

Actually most of those workers either live east (especially around Downtown Davie or aforementioned Broadview Park/Chula Vista) or have their green cards. I would say there are way more wealthy illegals.

Anyway, lets keep this about the robbery/burglary/revenge seeking enemy/etc.

I don't think the domestic workers and gardeners live anywhere in Weston. My housekeeper lives in Sunrise. She likes Weston but she can't afford it here. Her husband is a taxi driver.

There are many illegals in Weston. My next door neighbor was deported. But they were driving BMWs and living the good life. They were NOT domestic employees.

I live in Bonaventure and I actually think there are less illegals here than the wealthier parts of Weston. I think most of the non "white" (whatever that means) people in my neighborhood were actually born in the US, seeing my neighborhood looks like the united nations yet I hardly even hear accents, let alone see ICE here. Realize Weston is a top choice for wealthy political refugees from South America. The condo/apartment areas in Bonaventure tend to be younger and have a lot of single people but not a lot of day laborers. Most of the people around here in Bonaventure are like myself- young singles and couples looking for the central location and relative piece of mind. Some retirees and many young families too.

Yes, back to the robbery, live at the new desk! Anybody heard anything?

I'm glad they're gone. I didn't like them. They were loud, rude and messy.
