Hi there! I am single late 20's and trying to decide between these two areas. I dont need night clubs but would like some night life, restaurants, kareokee, casual happening patios.

If Fort Lauderdale which areas are good to reside closer to West Palm Beach?

Is there any reason for me to think about Port St Lucie?, Vero, Stuart or Jupiter?

What about the drive to work? How far do people commute for work and out of these areas which area do majority of the people work?

Any safety website on Hurricanes and a plan of action? Sorry just had to ask because I am a Texas Tornado!
Thank you for your time and your input! Cheers!

Single late 20s...definitely not West Palm Beach, unless you want to hang out in CityPlace which is basically a fancy outdoor mall (which last time I went had tumbleweeds going through it). WPB is far too run down mostly. Palm Beach Gardens is far nicer, but all new and still not a "happening" place by any means.

If I were you I'd look at Delray Beach or Ft. Lauderdale. South Florida vibe, young, and nice beachside areas with original restaurants, cafes, and bars.

Ft Laud or Miami Dade are the places to go. WPB is for the 40+ group and would not be enjoyable for you there. I live in Ft Lauderdale and there is TONS of nightlife here and a never ending amount of things to do for the 20-30 age group.

Where are you from?

You cannot go wrong with Fort Lauderdale. Miami can be overwhelming for someone who's not from there. Fort Lauderdale is also very run-down, except for the Las Olas area where all of the fancy restaurants, bars, and night clubs are. But there is a lot of stuff to do in the Fort Lauderdale area. West Palm Beach is up-and-coming, but not nearly as "happening" as Fort Lauderdale.
