It's Spring Break and that is why the fares are so high. The public schools and colleges all have breaks at different times, so those fares will be high, and booked, for both March and April. My daughter (teacher) booked her flight months ago for the 2nd week of April and it was very expensive and filling up fast.

Hey Augie,I know we havent met yet , but I LOVE Rum! And food to boot ,just makes the suggestion that much better! And the only thing that could make rum, and a good meal taste better, is consuming it in 75 to 80 degree weather in my favorite place,SW Florida! Maybe we will meet at the next meet-up or something, and then you can have new friends to feel sorry for, when the cold winds blow up north!

We FINALLY had some decent weather yesterday. 55 and partly sunny. I got the convertible out!!! Sat in the hot tub last night too, and my rum didn't freeze! Of course it was too good to last, it's been pouring rain all day today and the ditch is so flooded I'm afraid it may overrun the culvert and be up over the driveway if it doesn't stop real soon. There are acres of farmland upstream that all drain down into our ditch.

It was 75 degrees today in NYC. Eat your heart out. It was 82 in Naples. Big whoopee. The water temperature here is also 63 degrees. Yeah. Hurry up down and go swimming. I guess when you have weeks and weeks of night temps in the 40s and 50s in SOUTH Florida, the water temps go way down. Enjoy.

Wow. New York had 9 inches of snow a couple days ago! I wonder how that worked out with 75 degrees!! I would think it would be tough to make it to 75 with snow on the ground. hunh.

It got to 70 degrees here yesterday. Around the same today. The foot+ of snow melted in 2 days on LI and in the city anyway.

Last Sunday it was cloudy, windy, and about 62 degrees in the middle of the afternoon. We were out on our lanai and a foursome were just getting out of their carts. They were complaining about how "cold" it was and that it was hurting their game. My husband, in a very loud voice, remarked that maybe if they put on long pants and a windbreaker it might help. Tiger wears that all the time he said and a lot of clothes don't hurt his game. I wonder if they heard him. He then said they must be Floridians and that somebody from Minnesota wouldn't call 62 degrees cold.

Yeah, our 55 degrees on Friday are already a memory. It poured rain all day yesterday and all morning today. About 2 hours ago it turned to snow, and has been coming down so hard for the past two hours we can hardly see out. I guess the convertible will stay in the garage tomorrow and I'm back in the 4 wheel drive SUV. Sigh.
