We are relocating back to the DFW area (Colleyville) this summer after living in Atlanta (Alpharetta) for 10 years. We have an 11 year old boy who is in Boy Scouts and soccer and an 8 year old girl who is in Brownies. We are building a house in Heritage Oaks which is off Heritage Drive right next to all the Heritage schools.
My son is not a super athlete and prefers to play in a non-competitive soccer league like at a church. He is very active in scouts and will also need to find a boy scout troop in Colleyville. He has just crossed from cub scouts to boy scouts but does not have a boy scout troop since we are in the midst of relocating.
My daughter is involved in Brownies and is interested in starting softball.
Any recommendations for some non-competitive soccer and softball leagues that are close to us?
Also, any recommendations for boy scout and brownie troops that are attended by kids that go to Heritage Middle and Heritage Elementary?
Thanks for any direction you can provide.

I would think your realtor could help you with some of the info about scouts/sports programs
they usually have lots of local contact info

Longhorncouncil.org is the website for the local scout council. There is an email link on the landing page, which will help you find a local boy scout troop. My son recently crossed over from cub scouts to boy scouts, and his troop are recruiting now, so you don't necessarily have to wait until the fall.
