If you could choose a place to live in the Ft. Worth area where would it be? Kids grown and gone (mostly) so don't need to worry about schools other than re-sale. Also thinking of bringing in a really good coffee shop. Does Ft. Worth need another coffee shop?

If money were no object, I would buy in Mistletoe Heights, Berkley Place, the Park Hill area, or the area to the north of TCU (that probably overlaps with Tanglewood mentioned above). Lots of nice, larger older homes that have been renovated with some new construction mixed in. Shaded streets and close to downtown.

We could use a good coffee shop with a drive-thru window in downtown Fort Worth or in So7. There are 3 Starbucks locations here in downtown, but 2 are in hotel lobbies, and the third has zero free parking spots. There is one coffee place on Florence (Buon Giorno) but they do not have a drive-thru and are $$ compared to Starbucks. In So7, there is a Starbucks, but again, no drive thru.

Personally, I like the Bluebonnet Hills area right by TCU.
