Steak and seafood are probably a tough combination in D/FW, especially if you are looking for "simple" food. I'd say go to 2 places.
You may have misunderstood what I mean by "fancy" & "simple". We want a good steak, no french sauces, herbs, etc. The steak should be excellent meat without it. "Simple" meaning the opposite of "fancy".

I like Del Frisco's in Fort Worth for steaks. It's my favorite of all the steak places I've been. I doubt they have clams, but I bet if you called ahead they could find some for you.

Dino's Steak and Claw House in Grapevine has both steak and clams and a great atmosphere.

(I'd still go to Del Frisco's though)
