answered this once already but have have come up with other ideas that I'd like to do...

after taxes and tithes, give some money to kids, then buy myself a new towing sized
vehicle and a custom built dual purpose camper/utility trailer...then I would sell everything
and hit the road, travelling all over the lower 48...once I was tired of that then I would
find a piece of land (5-10 acres) and set up a homestead, off grid as much as possible
and spend the rest of my days in quiet solitude...

I don't trust wall street so the money would not be going into equities. I'd park money in short term treasuries as I go about acquiring tracts of lumber and properties still retaining mineral and wind rights for investment and income. I'd buy a large farm/ ranch and build a 2000 square foot off the grid home and have a garden, cows, etc and have fun doing all the self substainable things we read about.

I'd donate money to helping children and animals. I like Operation Smile, local animal shelters, Heifer International and organizations that help those needing medical assistance and offering people a hands up in areas like the black belt and Appalachia.

I'd splurge and get a loaded Jeep or Suburban-- need that towing capacity for the farm ya know and a Patek Philippe watch with diamonds. LOL! I'm very down to earth but I've always wanted one..

Hire tax accoutant, financial planner, lawyer.

Give away a portion to all family members to help them along with life.

Purchase two homes - one in the northern USA, one in the south - or maybe in Hawaii or Europe.

Purchase a comfortable sports type car - nothing too affluent - like an Audi - that's fun to drive.

Get a membership at a challenging golf club nearby where I live.

Travel Travel Travel - see the world, see the USA.

Hire personal fitness/nutritionist to motivate me to live a better, healthier life.

Other than that, can't think of too many other things.

If employed, finish the job I am working on then quit. If unemployed, quit the job search immediately and notify recruiters I am taking myself off the market for personal reasons. Hire a lawyer to protect myself from all the leeches that will be soliciting loans and business opportunities. Buy a Tesla.

Perhaps the person from Iowa who won last night's 175 million will state how they are going to spend it.

Not to rain on your parade but you do realize that equities represent real businesses not Wall street? Buying shares of Walmart is investing in what they do, Wall Street is just the place the transaction occurs.

As far as short term treasuries......have you seen what they are paying? Yes the income is tax free but at those rates it really doesn't matter!

Be careful with "off the grid" living, you might not get the news when US Treasuries go the way of Greek Bonds!

I would be in complete shock, and need a few days to let it sink in.

Then I would quit my job, and then transfer to full-time days as I continued going to college. I want that degree.

I'd take a fabulous vacation to somewhere fun, beachy and relaxing ...

I'd buy a condo closer to the Jersey Shore, and help my family out.

I'd pay off what debt I have left right now, and get that Mini Cooper convertible I want.

Probably invest so I wouldn't ever half to worry when I'm at retirement age. I worry about that.

A truly frugal person would not waste money on gambling.

I used to think if God wanted me to win the lottery, I would just find a winning ticket.

One day, while walking around the neighborhood, in the middle of the street was a lotto ticket for an upcoming lottery.

It did not win.

So, now I know, God doesn't want me to waste my money or my time even thinking about lotteries.

And you took the time to read a thread about What would you do if you won the lottery? and even replied to it. I think you just knowingly wasted your time.
