Is that 1200 minutes, 1200 texts and 1.2 GB worth of data?

Ring Plus offers Amano plan which is a one time payment of $27.00 + TAX
750 minutes + 750 texts+ 750 mms +750 MB Full-Speed 4G LTE per month + 5¢ overages.

I gave an old Sprint phone to my 29 year old neighbor and suggested that she use this service until she got a job. She had 1000 minutes + 1000 texts for free. At my age a 1000 texts seems impossible to go through in a month. She went through them in two weeks and didn't stop. So overage at 5¢ apiece meant every time she accumulated and extra 200 texts her fathers credit card would be charged 200*5¢=$10+$3.45 taxes and fees . She did that five times in less than 2 weeks.

So even free plans do make money for the company.

But I think that Verizon postpaid starts their plans at $55 a month + taxes and fees is ridiculous. They argue that they have a plan on prepaid for $15 and another for $30 + taxes and fees, but mostly you have to go to the MVNOs.

I use straight talk now and it's ok. Was on Verizon for a long time, gave up my unlimited data and went to page plus. Then straight talk. I don't buy super expensive phones because I'm very hard on them. I don't miss Verizon

If you like straight talk look at Total Wireless. Verizon side of Straight Talk but less money. We switched from Net10 (same as ST) to Total. It was painless. Saving around $320/yr between two phones for similar service.

For that 35 dollar a month plan, does it come with mobile hotspot?

I have had my Tracfone for over a year now and it can't be beat. I use my phone conservatively and that one year service with the 1200 call minutes/texts/data is a great deal. I don't care about the latest and greatest phones; I don't use my phone for anything but necessary calls and texts. Service is great, and the price can't be beat.

Not officially supported. On Android it works but using their iPhones it does not.

Damn this is good- at least for me. I just checked their website they seem to have it for $125 but it changes to 1500/1500/1.4GB which is also OK for me.

beware of strait talks customer service as it's noting like verizon or AT&T'S customer service. they can barley speak english and they will throttle you back when ever they feel like it even if you only use 10 MB of data!!
