Hi all,

I think my lawn are infected by some kind of fungus, I have done the necessary watering as told. But the lawn still have some lots of ugly spots. Can anyone please take a look at the pictures attached? Are those fungus related or grub related?

Thank you very much

How long ago did you establish your lawn? Did you have a healthy lawn last year? They don't look like fungus to me. Fungus is found in patches and starts in small circles..

Any one of these are the problem or a combination of these problems, poor soil preparation, heavy clay, improper watering, fungus, thatch buildup.

Grab a handful of the brown grass. Does it come up easily? If so, may be grubs.

Looks like a cut worm infestation. Proabably came in with your new sod. Pull up the sod and look in the thatch layer for these.

They could be brown or variegated. Its very common this time of year to have infestations in new sod. Especially if the grower did not spray for them at the right time.
