Some negative reviews of that self loading trimmer. But many good reviews of the trimmer.

I can hear it now somewhere in some town far away.....

Wife.." Honey, why are you using hand shears to trim around that post ?

Husband.." Because my EGO is to big to get to it ".

I have a 20 volt Worx trimmer that I am happy with. Got it with a 20 volt blower and extra battery with 2 chargers as part of a set. It is the best trimmer I ever owned. Goes through much less string too.

4.3 rating by almost 400 users on Amazon. Don’t think your find a better battery operated one. The Stihl battery trimmers have horrible reviews and have just recently jumped into this battery powered equipment. EGO had been around for dome time and have a very respectable battery operated self propelled mower.

Pretty cool test as usual with this guy.
He runs different brand trimmer lines through some tests. Some interesting results

I bought a Black and Decker 40 volt auto feed trimmer from Home Depot two years ago. It is so much more powerful than my old 12 volt and lasts so much longer. My yard is kind of small, so when I use it for 30 or so minutes, it still has half the battery life left (2 out of 4 green bars).

I just bought a Makita electric trimmer and used it around the yard. So far i am happy with it.

Why Makita? Because I already have other Makita battery powered tools, extra batteries and charger. I do like the charger, it's fast charging. I can fully charge a battery in about 20 minutes. So with 2 batteries I can just switch back & forth. Their batteries have power level indicator in the back so it's nice to know how much power I have left before tackling a new area.

I just bought a Ryobi battery trimmer. I would say the battery life was 30 minutes. Unfortunately it didn't last long enough to do my whole yard since my backyard is fenced. But it was lightweight & easy to use. I'm going to buy a second battery for it and the Ryobi lawn mower. That's supposed to last 33 minutes but it takes me 3 days to do the whole yard. :-(
