Nobody has EVER used that term to refer to Amerinds from Latin America, including Mexicans! They have been "Latino" or "Hispanic" but never "American Indian"...first of all they aren't even in America. They are on an American continent...which is a huge difference because in THIS country everyone who says America means the US, and ONLY the US.
