Hello All, I have a request for help but not really for genealogy per say but need help with getting a copy of an older newspaper articles.
My situation: I was in the US Army stationed at Ft Carson, CO (Colorado Springs) from 1993-95 and while on CQ duty one night, there was a female soldier that gave birth and killed the baby. There were articles in the Gazette Telegraph newspaper on 14 May 1993, 6 Aug 1993, and on 9 Aug 1995. I have tried and tried to get a copy of the articles for my service connected disability claim and I was hoping maybe someone who is a lot better at researching newspapers then I am could get me copies of the articles. The best I could do was find them but they are so illegible that you can hardly read them at all.
If you can help, please message me and I will give you the female soldier's name and then you can find the articles, thank you all for your time.
My local public library offers members access to https://newspaperarchive.com/ for free. I can even access it online from home. So you may want to check into that by visiting your library website.
As I recall, you get a much better image if you download an entire page of a newspaper as a pdf. There’s an icon of a floppy disc in the menu to click to do that. If you are sending the article as an email attachment, you could simply do a screen capture of the section of the downloaded pdf that contains the article. I don’t think a screen capture is of high enough quality to be printed though.
You should be able to do their 7 day free trial if all you want is those few articles.
Yes, I did the free 7 day trial and this is where I was able to find the pages but when I brought them up, you could hardly read them. There was an option to purchase the page but it was like $30 and I couldn't see spending a couple of hundred dollars on pages (articles continued on several pages) if I could not read them.

The paper for those years is not available at Newspapers.com or GenealogyBank, so that may be the only online resource, unfortunately. If the paper isn't legible, I would contact their customer support.
If you can't find another online resource, the Library of Congress has a newspaper directory that tells you what libraries you can find certain papers on microfilm or as the original papers - here's the Gazette-Telegraph: https://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/l...5766/holdings/ - if none of those locations are near you, you may still be able to get copies by contacting one of them (there might be a fee for the lookup/copies). Alternately, you may be able to get your local library to borrow the microfilm from one of these libraries.

"Improving Page Quality You can modify a page’s contrast and brightness to assist you in increasing the visual quality of it. On the top left of the screen click ADJUST."
