I guess maybe Buffalo; I think we spoke about it in history class, but I'm not positive. I rarely paid attention.

Okay, I retract my previous statement about it not being a matter of ignorance.

Forreal the only city on the list that is well known like that is Buffalo, and thats because of football. I can easily ask a person on the street if they've ever heard of those cities and they'll look lost.

I have heard of all of these cities, but I know and have heard more about Buffalo. Its the biggest city of all of them, they have pro sports teams (Bills, Sabers), If you showed me a picture of their skyline, I could match it to the city and of course BRUCE ALMIGHTY . All I know about the other cities is Harrisburg is the capital of PA, Albany is the capital of NY, Hershey is the Chocolate capital, and thats about it.

If you like the Redskins and watch the games this year, just look at where D. McNabb went to school.

Like I said, Syracuse is known mainly due to Syracuse University, it's sports teams and snow to most people that know anything about it.

Syracuse - Syracuse University basketball, snow
Scranton- The Office.
Hershey- The chocolate. Didn't know it was a city though, just thought it was an amusement park.

ALL of these are familiar to me, but like others have said most people would be most familiar with Buffalo as it's the second biggest city in NY and right next to Niagra Falls.

Buffalo - A once thriving major US city. Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Niagara Falls, steel.
Scranton - Apparently the Office takes place here. Ive never watched the show but I drove through the city a few times.
Albany -Capital of NYS, nanotechnology
Hershey - Hershey park and chocolate
Harrisburg - Capital of Pennsylvania
Binghampton - Drove through here a few times. Know nothing of the city
Syracuse - University has a basketball team I don't follow. A neighboring city of mine
Allentown - I know nothing of it...
Erie - Located on Lake Erie.
Rochester - I live here, I know everything about Rochester!
