What you see happening in frisko & most every city in California is the result of affirmative action, sanctuary-cities, & unchecked immigration.
Young whites are denied the opportunities that are given to so-called minorities.
Unions bring more so-called minorities into their ranks by not subjecting them to the much higher standards that are required of whites. Minority businesses are awarded contracts on public works projects just because they are so-called minorities after all.
Young whites are deprived of the jobs & educational opportunities, housing & loans & grants these so-called minorities are afforded.
In Frisco if you don't make 150k + you just might become homeless. Working in the fast food industry will guarantee you to become homeless. How are you going to pay for a 3k per month crib(maybe 1bed rm. apt.) working at jack in the box?
The police in Frisco make the 150k + incomes & don't like homeless people at all. it has essentially become class & ethenic warfare against a young, white, & mostly European extraction population.

L.A., San Diego and Honolulu! Too expensive apartment rents and transit. Housing costs too high with lukewarm economy that favors the educated and skilled people. People in those cities are screwed! Look to Swiss., they pay a fortune to keep people from working with generous pay and housing in the heart of cities' downtowns there. Not much demand for work in Swiss but the Gov. will dole out to convince people to lay off on working until the demands pick up. Better off in Norway, Swiss, Sweden and some other European countries.

Hawaii is the place for that or just defect to Swiss, Norway and Sweden. living large and larger if not working due to Gov. payout for not working since everyone there really love working since they're not high on sherm or other drugs from early age on. Very smart situation there and system works!

Problem with Hawaii is the expensive ticket to get there. I always wonder how the hell bums got money for a plane ticket to Hawaii. Or are they just ex military who had no where to go after discharge and decided to get strung out on HOP

Over draft the credit card if they can. Squeeze as much money they can and go hungry just for a bit to afford the low fares of Alaska Airline. I only pay $130 each way to Kauai two years ago.

I feel like west coast cities have a disproportionately higher amount of homeless people than your average east coast city. . .

Not to say east coast cities dont have homeless, they definitely do, but whenever I'm in LA or Seattle or San Fran it's like whoooooaa..... this makes where I'm from (miami) seem like nothing in comparison. I mean LA has entire tent cities filled with homeless. . . The east coast just doesn't have that.

Really? Why don't you go and offer a job to some of these young deprived white kids that are homeless. Tell them they can pick some grapes or mow lawns for around minimum wages...
See if the response you get isn't "no man, I'm good bra".
I'm saying this because I've seen it happen. Sadly, I have some cousins in Seattle and L.A. that are exactly like that. They don't want to work for 'the system'!
