I'm sure there has to be worse, probably out in the Midwest, but has anyone driven on I-95 through South Carolina? BORING. Same with I-40 between Raleigh and Wilmington, NC. Super dull.

It more depends on the road than the state, like I think going across PA on the 76 is more interesting than going across it on the 80.

Yes, that one is awful. I would drive from Tampa to see family in Myrtle Beach. I would take a scenic route through north central Florida because I know that stretch on 95 from Jacksonville north is quite boring.

Yeah, it's not that much better in Georgia. Really, I-95 isn't that exciting in the south, or after you pass DC and head into Virginia. I-95 through North Carolina is pretty similar to South Carolina, practically just as dull. The highway really cuts through some remote areas, only passing by Savannah in Georgia, Florence in South Carolina, and Fayetteville in North Carolina. Still, not the largest of towns. I guess it does go straight through Richmond up in Virginia, but after that, you're definitely going to be "out in the country" for a long time.

Interstate 81 in PA going down to VA has got to be the most boring road I've ever driven!

That highway is quite pretty in Virginia! Cuts right through the mountains. Better than I-95 in Virginia, where you don't see much with the exception of Richmond.

Just remembered another one in my area. I-85 between Durham, NC and Petersburg, VA. Not exciting at all.

And that's OK, I suppose. But maybe try to be a little more self aware about whether it's truly the state that is boring, or if perhaps you just don't like to look at stuff from a car window.
I'm someone that appreciates the art of utility poles (they enhance road trips that much) but having roadside performers and laser light shows would be cool though.

I-57 in central Illinois. There may be roads in Nebraska or Kansas that are as boring, but there are none that are more boring.
