I personally think that the West Coast has the "most" spectacular skylines. Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Seattle I think beat out New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Baltimore in the Northeast. The West Coast may not have the city with the most impressive skyline, but it has by far the greatest number of impressive skylines.
And You forgot Pittsburgh with the northeast
and providence, harford, buffalo, wilmington, Atlantic city, Rochester, Springfeild, Syrecuse, and manchester (some of which aren't that big)
Call me biased but theres just something about the idea seeing all of the south's skyscrapers climbing into a crisp, blue October sky that does something to me.
Des Moines. I may be biased, but I'd say Des Moines has the best skyline for a city with a metro area of less than a million. I'm open to debate on this as I haven't seen everything though.
I can't find any good photos of the Duluth, MN skyline with the bridges and lights and all, but trust me, it's very cool. Not so much for big buildings or anything, just the bright lights.
I voted Midwest, I think many of our skylines are way underrated, and then Pacific NW comes in second for me even though thats not a category.
OH and the bad thing about the Saint Louis skyline is you can't get that great view of the arch from across the river without standing in E. STL, IL ... that's never good.
