You're really ignorant if you actually think everyone talks like this. All of these accent videos are meant to be dramatizations and jokes.
Those girls have no idea what they're talking about. They don't even know what jumbo means! (but no seriously they make me cringe, though it has less to do with their accents than them just being annoying teenage girls on youtube)
Note, though, that I've never really heard anyone say "Pixburg".
Also I don't think I hear "ambulantz" in Pittsburgh much; from my understanding that's a typical Baltimore/Maryland thing though.
Wow, you're really sensitive and defensive. People do talk like this, I know some. My next door neighbors are from western PA, and her niece came to visit and she said "ambulantz" just like the girl in the video. Everywhere in the country has accents, some are more distinct than others. No need to be so thin skinned about it, it's better to be able to laugh at yourself.
You're the one who said we sound unsophisticated and put a after how she said Pittsburgh so you must think people who sound like that are stupid.

Yeah, I thought I'd seen it all, but then somebody from the South said that the Pittsburgh dialect sounds unsophisticated. I bet the pot said that the kettle's black too!
I went to a catholic church service once to get out of the rain and didn't like the accent the guy in the pointy hat had, it was all..."ecubana, mylanta, bo-bana, yada, yada, yada"...whatttt-evurrrr! speak english duuuuude!"
I'm one of those Northern vowel shift users. To my ear, the West Coast accent with the exaggerated syllables is the worst. And why does everyone on TV have that accent?
The West Coast accent is spreading across the country and I've found it to be fairly common even in places like Kansas City, particularly those younger than 25-30.
