Hardly ever do we get over the mid 80's here in the summer; and it is not humid at those temps. 5 or 6 days a summer we can get a 90 or a 92, not often; but then a thunderstorm comes along and clears the air.

Don't get me wrong, there are certain areas of the west coast of FL that I can handle and yes, the winters are very nice. Is it worth it to move there though? much high taxes, higher car/home insurance, high HOA fees. There is no place that can be painted with a broad brush; it's always about location, budget, and how many negatives vs. positives.
I cant see why someone would want to live "in the mountains".

Heat and humidity is what makes the water be warmer than NC's, for a longer period. People are active with the ocean and water-sports more in FL.

Err, any city in NC that comes close to St Augustine? That's news to me NC has everything. No place does.

Different strokes for different folks.

You should become a spokesperson for FL, everyone will move out..

Just ask some FL'ians. They love it here in the summer. Or better yet, visit vicariously via Google.

I certainly dont need "4 seasons" as any temps under 50 is too cold for my tastes.
I'm right there with you on that, if I wanted cold weather I wouldn't live in Florida

There is a lot of risks involved in anything that can make you money $$. You need to take risks to become wealthy, but they have to be intelligent risks.

As it stands with stocks, it's gambling but after my initial purchase, I will not put more money in there (though I trade on margins so I have to be careful to never go over), instead I use proceeds from my earnings to re-invest and then I flush once it crosses 7 digits. Rinse and repeat.

So some of my stocks don't do as well as UPL, but so far I have never had one tank on me.

For example yesterday and the day before yesterday I was toying with the idea of dumping my stock in GLL, it has been underperforming below my expectations. But I didn't, I particularly wanted to invest in SDRL as my research indicated that company had potential.

Low behold, today SDRL is on a surge, since this morning it's has doubled from 3$ a share to 6$ a share, so I will have to wait on that one before investing, my delay on making a decision missed an opportunity to make another 100K in stocks

Oh well easy come and go. Just be vigilant and know what you're doing. Money will never be easier for you.

I'm a native but I have lived in both. NC summers are hot but not like FL.

And where the heck is COT? you mean Charlotte? CLT.
Yeah, it came out wrong. I meant CLT.

And I agree with the attitudes. That's what I hate about FL. Just imagine being down here full time! It's not the natives but we as "Floridians" gotta bad rap due to the transplants that act like *******s.

Definitely. I moved to NC towards the end of summer, but even in the 90-something degree days I was here for...it was at least bearable.
