I'm currently a Junior in High School planning on saving money for living expenses and then moving from my hometown of Portland, OR. I plan on getting an apprenticeship in either Ironworking, Plumbing, Electrian, Sheet Metal Working, or something along those lines from a community college wherever I go. I'm looking for a city that has a relatively cheap cost of living compared to Portland, and somewhat more predictable weather than Portland, so long as it doesn't rain ALL year. I want the city to have at least a pro basketball team and/or an NFL team in state to root for. What cities do you think would best fit? Some that I have in mind are:

Pittsburgh
Indianapolis
Chicago
Cincinatti
Houston
