Maybe particular words you have to hear the "Strong" sounding accent. I think when i say curse words i have a particular strong diction and accent comes out.
Boston, NYC, DC and Baltimore AAs all have a strong distinctive dialect where as soon as they talk you're like "oh he must be from such and such"
Philadelphia is right in the mix of all of these cities yet the AAs there don't really have the same strong accent of their own, its alot more mild and neutral. Not saying they dont have their own accent and way of speaking but its nowhere as strong and recognizable as these other places.
I find that black people in Philly have a Southern sounding accent, while black people in New York, North Jersey, and New England sound similar to each other
African Americans in NYC still have the southern twist to their accent also but Philly by far has it 100 times stronger!
False, New York blacks southern twist to their accent is much stronger than the black Philly accent. A 1000 times stronger.
No it isn’t. I have family in Philly. My cousins who are Haitian even have a southern twist to their accent living there. You won’t find stuff like that in NYC!

You're right. Black people in Philly defiitely have more of a Southern twang in their accents than in NYC.
