Fresno: a surprising amount of condos and tiny homes are in the 150ish range.
They're getting snatched up quickly by investors tho, so it might not last much longer.

To add some perspective

Fresno Zillow
700 homes for sale and soon to be in the 600s
Edit: 699 homes just now

Vegas zillow: 7000s homes

Sacramento zillow: a little below 900 homes

Phoenix zillow: 3700s

So, we can infer that just the legal right to live here (really, just a transfer of a $1000/month lease for the slip -- no land title here) is worth $146,500.

That said, you can go a bit further out and get an updated condo or townhouse, just on the less-pricey side of the inner suburbs. Going west of the District, I don't see any houses until you cross the West Virginia line. Man, segregation is really powerful.

$150k could get you a 3 BR 1-2 bath single-family home with around 1000-1500 sq ft in a lower-middle/older middle class neighborhood in many parts of the Cincinnati metro.

Good luck finding anything for $150,000 in my village. There was a fixer for $160,000 with multiple offers. Even condos are high here. You might find one for around $125,000 but it's not in an ideal location. The good ones are in the $200,000's.
